uh huh...
boomerang crud is a good name for it.
my best guess is there is a strong bacterial nasty piggy backing with it, because it seems to respond to anti biotics. assuming you can afford a doctor.
this may be why it responds so well to attacks with garlic, ginger, clove and etc....

but i have been down with it for almost two months...the worst of it being the last two weeks.
(i had to get on an airplane, otherwise i am sure i would be over it by now.. but the air travel nailed me)

  I lost my voice for 5 days. Frustrating...this started in early January, came back around the first of February, and I am STILL coughing. 

  I know folks who have had some major medical problems with it. It is one weird Bug.
