Yes, an entertaining Japanese kitchen item. You peel the boiled eggs hot 
and put them in the little jar, screw on a lid to compress firmly  and run 
cold water over to cool it. Kids find them very peculiar and entertaining. 
Fun for deviled eggs, too.
