i think they are smoked jalepenos if i recall correctly? 
   totally different taste from the jalepeno but hot.

definitely a taste/heat you want to start small with, 
unless you are a devoted chili head (that would NOT be 
me... i am a heat wuss).

we have a local provider (dragonfarts) who makes wonderful 
fruity and tomato-y hot sauces that not only have extreme 
heat (beyond threatening) but great flavor. my kinda guy.
