[Sca-cooks] OT: updates on dad, me, mom, events

I forget who I have updated, so if you get this twice, please forgive me....

rev. Roger Pickering, my dad.. is now doing much better.
his first pacemaker got a staph infection, and landed him back in hospital
for some time on IV antibiotics, but they were able to implant a new one
after a few weeks.
he lost a lot of weight

unfortunately when he got home he got a virus,  couldn't eat or keep down
food , and was in touchy condition for a while.

he is now much better, walking again... and having more energy.

they are going to try to keep their usual "trip to Florida" vacation this
weekend and next week but will be flying down instead of driving and
visiting people en route. they think it will be less stressful

 Sandra (mom) has Rheumatoid Arthritis, and her  RA has been brought back
under control for now.  the stress was very hard on her.

both of them appreciate any prayers, reiki, and etc that you wish to send.

my finances have been pretty appalling.... I canceled several shows to stay
near dad, and commuting three hours to visit the hospital, with the gas
prices and such make this a difficult time.

my cat Small Kidd continues to do well, but the vet bills were put on high
interest credit cards, and we are no where near paying them off...... with
another cat needing dental surgery, and me needing eye surgery soon, the
finances are...... ugly.

we have been selling off my back stock of jet, and my entire collection of
rubber stamps, most of the backstock of jewelry, as well as other odds and
ends to try to make payments.
(anyone need anything?)

I may have to cancel some more shows owing to lack of travel funds... adding
to that the fact that when Wayne and I both go, we have to board the dog and
the cat who needs meds.... which adds to the expense.

still, I have a roof over my head, and internet access, so things are not
that bad.
