Could be. Among other potentially useful factoids is the fact that  
the data I referenced is probably at least 20 years old (but then how  
old is Perry's?), and also that China has, overall, much higher  
tobacco use per capita than most parts of the world, so I guess it's  
possible we have (or had) people eating the "rotted" grain and/or soy  
cakes, smoking four or five packs a day, and coming down with stomach  
cancer. What a shock! Those terrible bean cakes!
