i read many of the e-mail lists hosted on http://lists.ansteorra.org
and now suddenly all the list archives require being a list member.

the sca-cooks list archives were open for anyone to read, now suddenly
the sca-cooks list archives require being a list member.

would anyone be able to explain why this move has been taken?

my ability to read various lists has been severely impacted.
