for $6 a gram and at the top of the shelf for $18 for 1.25

price difference! >>>

Don't buy it from the grocery store if you can avoid it. You can get
much better saffron at much better prices from some of the mail-order

I buy my saffron, which is a very, deep, rich red from the Pepperer's
Guild. There prices are much better as well. I'm afraid I don't
remember though what I paid, off the top of my head. I buy some
saffron from them each year I am at Pennsic, but they also fill mail
orders, but since they are a non-profit volunteer group I've heard it
can take them a while to get an order shipped out to you.

(Very P.O.ed. Ordered a new digital camera 9 days ago for Gulf Wars
off the web (YellowBeePhoto.com) and it took them until today for
them to email me and say that it is 'back-ordered'. Now it is too
late to order from another web place.)
