our neighborhood walmart donated over 400 toys for our
annual toys for tots drive. it was right after easter and
my husband asked if they wanted to "make him a deal" on
the stuffed toys now 75% off for the baronial toy effort.
they donated all of them. over 400. and threw in about
50 odd stuffed dog/squeaky toys... for whatever reason.
guess they were on the 75% off table as well. those
went to the local animal shelter.
so there is some heart... albeit not in the back in the TV
section -- obscure south park reference. 8) maybe they
just didn't want to inventory the li'l suckers.
whatever... our gain.
we hope to be able to hit 'em up again this year! and
perhaps others than the neighborhood store.
