/Mythic Creatures: Dragons, Unicorns & Mermaids/,
is the name of the upcoming exhibit at the American Museum of Natural 
History
in NYC.
It's an enchanting exhibition that traces the cultural and natural 
history roots of some of the world's most enduring mythological 
creatures for the first time, is scheduled to open on May 26, 2007. 
Legendary beasts of land, sea, and air such as dragons, griffins, 
mermaids, sea serpents, and unicorns are highlighted in this major 
exhibition scheduled to remain on view through January 6, 2008, after 
which it will travel to other venues.

This sounds right along with several of the SCA's interests. It's in
collaboration with The Field Museum, Chicago; Canadian Museum of 
Civilization, Gatineau; Australian National Maritime Museum, Sydney; and 
Fernbank Museum of Natural History, Atlanta so more than likely there 
will be an opportunity to view it outside NYC.

I suspect that there will be books and stuff to go along with the exhibit.
They are not up on the website yet, but the exhibit doesn't open until 
May 26th.
