Of course, Adamantius will be able to advise you better than most as he
lives there. However, I will say that, if you try any of the "classic" well
known places, I found Tavern on the Green to be a great
disappointment...overpriced for what you get, but the atmosphere is
terrific! The same was true, sadly, of BB King's--worst southern "soul
food" I've ever eaten. However, I've eaten at Sardi's a couple of times,
and, while pricey, was excellent both times...and seeing all of the
caricatures of famous people was a real treat.
