The younger of my 2 cats also knows how to tell time. On those days when I do not have to use the alarm clock (ie I do not have to get up at the crack of doom, er, dawn...) but I still need to arise earlier than I would do naturally I tell Kizmet what time to wake me and she does - within 5 minutes of the time I requested!
 

If purring loudly and rubbing against my face doesn't do, she has also learned to knock things off the headboard shelves - beleive me, nothing sharp or heavy lives up there anymore!
