[Sca-cooks] Historic Food Event in Atlantia

Slow Food DC invited Michael Twitty, a local culinary historian to 
recreate a Maryland "foodscape" from the 1850's. The lunch at the 
historic Grusendorf Cabin, in Seneca Creek State Park starts at Noon on 
Sunday May 20,  and will include traditional, seasonal dishes prepared 
with homegrown heirloom vegetables and herbs, including turnip greens, 
planked fish, spring chicken soup, kush, hoecake, sweet potato pie and 
persimmon beer and great conversation. The cost is $25 for Slow Food
