[Sca-cooks] flax processing (was Bread labor)

Maybe not in Europe, but in Japan, it was the fabric of choice for the
lower classes...even late in period, cotton wasn't commonly available
to the lower classes, and linen wasn't all that common either.  So,
from its early history, hemp was frequently used.
