We have a guy here in AnTir who's done some interesting extrapolative
research into "Viking" food.

I don't really have any recipes, but enjoyed what you say you meant only for
Johnnae!

However, years ago, when I cooked a Coronation feast for Duke Galmr, I
actually looked at things that were period for the lands that Vikings had
visited.  So we were able to expand our search to Scotland, England, France,
Russia, and even Byzantium!  I wonder if such would work for your purposes?
