HAHAHA!  No.  You're really not.  When my daughter was born I backed away entirely from anything that even remotely looked like volunteering in the SCA.  My daughter is now 6 and I'm only now slowly getting involved again in any kind of responsible level, so I applaud you the ability to even consider cooking a feast with a small child!
