[Sca-cooks] Teaching in the SCA

I agree about the teacher not showing up...or being terribly late!  As I
mentioned in my previous post, being on time is the least courtesy a person
can show others involved in an educational endeavor.  I have also had the
experience of being charged for materials and/or a handout and receiving
neither!  This happened once at Pennsic...the instructor claimed she didn't
have time to put together the handout (really disappointing because it was
supposed to be period Japanese recipes), and she also "didn't have time" to
create the food she was supposed to serve.  We were charge $5 per each for
the class, which had to be paid in advance, and got nothing for it, save the
rambling, unorganized "brain dump" which we received.  After another class
from this same individual which went about the same way, I have avoided
attending any more of her classes.
