Here's a clafoutis recipe that seems the most like the ones I'm  
familiar with from my time doing Provencale stuff. It's basically a  
baked, glorified apple pancake cooked in a tart pan, but generally  
made with cherries or apricots. There's a lot of weird nouvelle  
variations out there, but this one looks more like the real deal:
