Here in Meridies they have taken the possibility of divisiveness out
of the picture by creating Kingdom Policy regarding who can and cannot
be comped:

Autocrat
Head Cook
King & Queen
Prince & Princess
Sitting Baron & Baroness (if a Baronial event, if the Barony is
hosting a Kingdom event - no comp)

This came about due to some unfortunate incidents; some where Crowns
showed up at events with the expectation that their entire entourage
would be comped for the event and some where the Sitting Baron &
Baroness had significant set - tos with the Autocrats of a Kingdom
event.

While I am not necessarily a fan of making more rules - it has solved
some problems.
