I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried. the state Department of Natural
Resources sent an agent who confirmed what it was, and it was a pretty
sizeable one. Yes, it was escaped froma wildlife rescue facility neaby.
That is a story of its own. The creature was captured using cataloupe and
grapes, I believe. Returned to the caretaker who had previously vehemently
insisted all of her animals were accounted for.

(I saw it by the roadside one evening a couple months prior, but
thought there was no way we had a capybara in Western GA USA!)
