Check your ingredients list. It could be marinated in what amounts to a
brine, which will make your white meat juicier and doesn't require the
effort of brining the bird yourself. If it has some flavoring added (common
flavor themes here in the US are Lemon Pepper, BBQ, Cajun, Mesquite, and
Herb) then it will probably mess with your recipe and you might be better
off taking it back. (those are common flavorings found on chickens anyway,
I don't think I've ever seen a pre-packaged flavored marinated turkey).
More than anything, roll with the punches, and don't be too married to your
original plan. Whatever comes out will be wonderful, and you never have to
fess up to the fact that it isn't what you originally had in mind. :)

¿What is that 'marinated turkey'? In my life I have never seen it. Lover
boy went out this am and went to the supermarket with our grand list for
Friday's dinner party and surprise bought marinated turkey??? =-O Will
that kill my recipe? Should we take it back immediately or can I keep my
mouth shut and say what a dear he is as I hate supermarkets! I really
appreciate him going but sometimes people who are not doing the cooking
should not get involved in the cooks ingredients without the cook's advise.
