My sister had a female cat who every year with the same male had
more than 100 kittens total. Sisters' daughters found homes for all less
Dora who was deaf. The rule was as long as they found homes the mother
cat could reproduce.
My children were not so successful as sellers. We only had 20 kittens
and apart from that I have had 8 permanent cats in my life. They are
children. No two are alike. One you can brush and the other not.
Right now we are having a huge problem with Robin, our four month
old baby who came from the slums, he attacks at about 4 pm. It started
when we castrated him at 3 1/2 months. We got him through the animal
society and as Robin was so defensive they asked us to take him to the
most professional vet in Chile on cats. We did. He was very mean to her
and now we have to go back for therapy once a week for a month more or
less.
She says he was attacked by a human or an animal when he lived in
that shack with his mother and his 10 brothers and sisters. It is
totally possible. When she told us that I almost cried. How can anyone
hurt a kitten that is no bigger than the palm of your hand? Peter and I
could not imagine it.
On the other hand Robin uses the toilet instead of a litterbox,
loves going in the car and never misses a session of Pilates to see the
my beautiful girlfriends! He brings his harness to me when he sees me
putting on my gym suit. Tad, is predecessor, spoke to me. He said things
like - I don't want to - ok - well, lets do that - lots and lots.
Barbie, Tad's daughter, slept with me throughout the year I could not
walk. She did not move from the foot of my bed she was so loyal to me.
In short each one is like a child and so special.
