[Sca-cooks] New Year's Eve/Day repast

In past years we have gone to/have held parties; last year we didn't because my husband had a bad infection and was still in too much pain, so we stayed in and watched movies on Comcast. This year we're going to a friend's place, kind of at the last minute; we're bringing blondies and a bottle of limoncello (want to try a limoncello with cream on the rocks, sort of like a white russian only lemon-flavored). New Year's Day has traditionally been hanging out with the in-laws and watching the Mummer's Parade, but I think we'll be staying home, and I'll fix us either Cajun dirty rice or shrimp scampi over linguine, and bake hubby a pecan pie. I'm working today so I don't really have time to fix much for the party.
