Different cultures celebrate the New Year on different days and in different ways.  My house's cultural New Year is not for several months yet, but HEY ... any reason to make good food and share with friends is a good reason.  The Gregorian Calendar New Year was the referant, but what ever jiggles your jolly is alright with me...
