[Sca-cooks] New Year's Eve/Day repast

I'm going to a friend's house for a quiet New Year's day....it's evolved
into a "traditional" brunch featuring waffles and ham and eggs and
champagne, and dinner later in the evening. Nothing planned for tonight at
all which is fine with me. We've got pretty vile winter weather, and about
all I'm good for is napping anyways (recovering from minor surgery). I'm
eating whatever's in the fridge--mostly organic yogurt (I've turned into a
greek yogurt fiend) and leftover ham-and-bean soup. If I were up to it, I'd
be making Hopping John and some sort of greens, and cornbread, but that
takes more energy than I've got right now....drugs are lovely, but all I
want to do is snooze!
For Christmas dinner, the same friend made this amazing gelato that was
limoncello-based. We first found the recipe early this past summer, and she
promised me some when I achieved a 75 lb weight loss. When I hit that
particular goal this fall, I suggested saving it for Xmas day, and we did.
It was *wonderful!*
