[Sca-cooks] OOP: Seeking San Diego Info

I'll be spending close to 2 weeks at my mother's. I've never lived in San Diego and don't know where there are good food stores. She's in what i think is called North County. There are a couple huge boring supermarkets near her. I know about the Whole Foods and Peet's Coffee on La Jolla Village Rd. There's a Trader Joe's one or 2 freeway I-5 exits north.

But i have no idea where to get Middle Eastern ingredients, good quality spices, wonderful produce, etc.

Anyone from San Diego on this list with some ideas?
