As a parallel; consider the SCA links you might find searching for "armor
hot dogs" (grin,wink!)

First, thanks too all of you for your hints and suggestions. I still don't
know what I will do withe these dates, although eating them out of hand is
sounding better and better. The gentleman who gave them to me mentioned
that dates are very good for you immune system. Since I have been fighting
bronchitis for over 10 days.....

The only thing on the box they came in was the word Bateel. When I Googled
this, I found that Bateel was the company in Dubai where the dates came
from. On their website, they had some pretty good pictures of the dates
they sell. Compairing my dates to the pictures, I believe that these
particular dates are their Dekkini variety. I did a search for Dekkini
dates, and came up with only 2 pages of links! Most of the links were for
sites that were in languages I could not read. Although, from what I could
tell, most of them had nothing to do with dates that are the eating kind.
Things like "Magic the Gathering", "Pokemon", and "My Space" were a few of
the readable words!

I've been rambling, sorry for that.

Thanks again,
Felicia

Try defining the type of date you're looking for. Adding "medjool" to the
search further limits the search.

As for storing dates, try http://www.medjooldates.com/nutrition.html
