*giggle* I'm in the PA/NJ area. It's easier to sell period food to the
blue-collar folk here than to the bourgeois: our yuppies are more likely
to object to what they can't get at Appleby's or Friday's, while the more
working class/ethnic people will try glop and comfort food.

We had that, once. I put in a bid for a period meal at $6 a head, someone
else put in a bid for a family meal at $6 a head. They took the other bid.
Curiously, they've never done something like that again, even though the
other meal (I call it the Gratuitous Tomato Feast) was hot, on time, quite
edible, filling, and only took 4 people on site to prepare, all of which I
consider a credit to the other cook.

On the other hand, my group does fewer and fewer feasts because it's so
much trouble to clean up, and I don't blame them for that!
