Actually, the Laurel Tourney at Pennsic is a fighting event...and they do
allow us to choose a fighting stand-in.  My apprentice's husband (who is
going to be Knighted at Atlantia's Ymir event on Feb 9!!) fought for me in
the first one three years ago, and was going to fight last year, but the
Tourney got canceled because of nasty weather.  In this Tourney, Laurels
provide the prizes.  If someone gets a stand-in to fight for them, the
Laurel provides a prize as does the stand-in.
