You had hands??? La-de da!!! We had stumps. We called them "Hoover's  
Hammers". And we were happy to get them.

And sometimes we even used butter when we weren't baking or frying. It  
took my old man eight years muckin' out Congressional lavatory stalls  
to earn those fourteen molecules of butter. And we were happy then, too.
