All the suggestions I've seen are very good (and I'm squirrelling them away 
for my own future driving), but they all seem to assume a single 
driver.  True, since you're packing for Estrella space may be at a minimum, 
but if possible, can one drive while the other sleeps, at least part of the 
time?  If not, 15-minute naps are still better than trying to force your 
way through when you're getting tired.  Better to arrive late than not to 
arrive.
