[Sca-cooks] Congrats are in order...

Thanks, Gunthar. I'm still a bit surprised- I'm really only getting
started with some of what I want to do, both as a smith and as a cook.
These next few months, I need to get my period, wooden forge and
equipment built and made, and more research into the impurities in the
metals found in various mines. Also want to do another Feast, probably
from Martino, or at least assist at one where someone will leave me
alone and let me produce Welserin's Easter Lamb. So much to do, so
little time...

Thing is, though, I'm not working in a vacuum. There's lots of people
helping me on many levels, from various experts here and elsewhere in
various forums, mundane and SCAdian, with information and advice, to
the period people who actually figured a lot of this stuff out, whose
secrets I'm slowly acquiring (our ancestors were AMAZING, once you
look at what they did with what they had to work with), to the many
people who have loaned me a helping hand, getting my forge and
equipment set up and torn down. And. lets not forget the students I
have whose joy in learning ever makes any effort I make a mere seed
for the inspiration they give me in return. ;-) I'm hoping, if I
continue trying to do my best, I'll be paying back these folks for
what they've given me. Seems like, though, I can't catch up to them-
I'm forever getting back much more than I can offer.

Heat it up
Hit it hard
Repent as necessary.

Priorities:

It's the smith who makes the tools, not the tools which make the smith.
