[Sca-cooks] Weird American food?

I've heard it called a Texas burger - I think I first saw one out here in
San Diego, but I can't tell for sure.  Thought it was at Ruby's diner, but
don't see it still on their menu.  Might have been in Atlanta or Nashville,
however.

Interesting. I've never heard it called that down here in Texas.

There is a thickly sliced bread, with each slice about an inch thick,  
which is referred to here as "Texas Toast". It is often browned and  
buttered and served with Chicken-fried steak or with breakfast dishes.

Is it called that elsewhere?
