My uncle 'George William' was on a ship ancored just outside Viet Nam.  Both my mother and her sister agreed that the next child born was to be named for him.
 
My given, at birth was Merlyn Georgetta.
 
when I was adopted (long story ... very sad) it was changed to Georgia Lynn,
 
Later in my life, I started going by Jo.
