Some of the recipes are extrapolations, as in the case of Wroclaw Trenchers, 
others may actually be period, but there is no attribution or source 
references for the originals and no way to determine the accuracy of the 
"reconstructed" recipes.

I have been told, but have not been able to verify, Weaver's editing and 
adapting left out quite a bit of the reference and note material that was in 
the original Polish edition.
