I suppose that is possible but storage of a hollowed shell, even when
rinsed out as the instructions say to do, might be a problem.  'Lainie
mentioned that Sundays and feast days weren't as strict, so it's possible
that this could have been a treat on those days.  They'd really be a type
of subtlety - you think you're getting an egg when you're really getting a
almond-y custard with a yellow "yolk" in the middle.
