well, ours are open to anyone who wants to play.  the 
problem came when we had an hour of hiking around the site 
to get provisions that sometimes weren't there.  that and 
that damn pvc boat (you should excuse my language).  an 
elongated pentagon of floppy plastic pipe that had to be 
carried everywhere, holding it up with your arms extended 
at a 45 degree angle.  imagine walking over rough terrain 
(in some altitude) like that for an hour.  that's what 
beat us before we started.  my traps are still a bit sore.

i heard that the winner (who is supposed to coordinate the 
next year's contest) said next year all we get is rice and 
we can bring any spices and herbs we want.   some serious 
siege cooking there....

not so bad.  just don't make me waste a quarter of it 
getting the food. ;)
