Mmmmm... You know... I've been trying to decide what I was going to do with
a pound of thawed sausage, since I wasn't really in the mood for just plain
eggs and sausage right now. 

Maybe I'll try making scotch eggs for the first time ;-)

Just in case anyone here doesn't know what these folks are talking about see
this file in the FOOD section of the Florilegium:
Scotch-Eggs-msg   (19K)  3/ 5/05    Fried sausage-wrapped hard-boiled  
eggs.

Even if they aren't period, they still make a good, picnic type lunch item.
