What kind of fish did you smoke? Did you smoke them long enough to  
preserve them? Or as seems to be more common these days only for  
flavor but not enough to act as a preservative?  And if your write-up  
will stand alone without the actual fish, it might make a good  
article for the Florilegium. ;-)  I suspect not many SCA folks have  
actually smoked food for preservation or otherwise.
