Odd, i thought her book was about Ottoman cooking.

When Shirvani translated al-Baghdadi's Kitab al-Tabikh - and altered 
nearly every one of al-Baghdadi's recipes, some very very much - and 
then added his own 80 or so recipes, he clearly didn't know what 
atraf al-tibb was.

So atraf al-tibb doesn't figure into Ottoman cuisine.

Or does Hauviette have another book out on more general Medieval 
Arabic-language cooking as well?
