Greetings to the Gentles of the SCA-Cooks list,
Here is a copy of my Florilegium article for September detailing what
is new in the Florilegium this month.
As you can see, this months new files consist mostly of some
interesting articles submitted by a number of different authors.
Writing an article on what you've been researching or crafting is a
good way to give back to the Society which we have created. And you
don't have to wait until your article is perfect, since, unlike with
paper publication where you can seldom update an article, I am
willing to accept updates at any time.
Publishing your work in the Florilegium may get you questions and
comments which can improve your knowledge and the article. If you are
thinking of submitting an article to TI, the Compleat Anachronist or
elsewhere, this input may help you improve your article before it
gets frozen into paper form.
If you have any comments about or suggestions for, the Florilegium,
please feel free to email me.
Thanks,
Stefan

A Blending of the Past and Present
Over the past eighteen years in an ongoing effort, I have been
collecting bits of useful information from various newsgroups, mail
lists and articles submitted to me by their authors. In order to make
this information available to others, I have placed this information
in a collection of files I call Stefan's Florilegium.
The Florilegium is on the web at: http://www.florilegium.org
I am always interested in new articles. If you have written an
article that would be of interest to others in the SCA, please send
it to me for possible inclusion in the Florilegium. A&S documentation
and class handouts will also often work out well.
The authors who have submitted articles for the Florilegium often
have included explicit permission for republication in SCA
newsletters. If you use something from the Florilegium in your
newsletter, please read these permissions and follow them. Although
it is often quite easy to send an author a copy or your publication
or let them at least know by email that you are using their article,
I'm getting complaints from some authors that editors are not even
doing the latter. For a group of people that hold honor in high
regard, this should not happen.
