Uh, no. They make a cocoon so they can metamorphose. They don't let
them metamorphose completely because the metamorphosed insects have to
cut the cocoon to get out, so they're killed before that, because you
want a cocoon that is one, continuous, uncut filament.

So you're not really eating their dead carcasses anymore than you're
eating a cow's dead carcass... And they'll be killed anyway for the

I always thought that I WAS eating part of the cow dead carcass when I bit into that Prime Rib steak.  I think I missed part of the conversation.?.?  Not live . . . part of the cow . . . must have issed it.
