[Sca-cooks] Anyone on here near Las Cruces, NM?

I have a possible 3-12 month job contract in Las Cruces, NM.  I've  
turned down a number of similar type positions elsewhere because of  
the logistics of getting there and living away from my permanent home  
here in Austin. Las Cruces is "only" about a 9 hour drive from here  
over mostly less congested highway so this might work. And the town  
is small so getting around town might not be too difficult for me.

Is there anyone here who lives in Las Cruces or knows the area or  
knows what the SCA community is like there? Is there even an SCA  
group in Las Cruces? Maybe it all centers around El Paso which is  
only a short distance away.
