[Sca-cooks] Tweaking Giardiniera?

Hello,
 
Just curious if anyone has "tweaked" the bottles of Giardiniera by adding period spices and/or herbs or other ingredients and let sit in the frig for a couple a days?  I have a bottle of the Mezzetta Italian Mix Giardiniera, it's got a little bite from the peppers.
