[Sca-cooks] OOP - Weird little question for our UK-Heritage members

Hullo, the list!

Sorry to bring this up from what Americans would call Left Field, but  
I happened to notice a little exchange in an episode of an apparently  
Welsh-produced BBC TV series called "Being Human".

It included some discussion of using a Mouli hand grater -- the kind  
with a little rotating drum that you turn with a crank handle to grate  
things like stale bread, cheese, nuts, etc.

The claim, bearing in mind the questionable source, was that this  
device is used for shredding parsley for parsley sauce, presumably the  
bechamel-based formerly white, now green or green-speckled, stuff one  
eats with things like boiled mutton, chicken, cod, etc.

Is this just an example of a screenwriter who can't cook, or is this a  
genuine practice? It seems to me it could go either way.
