[Sca-cooks] Probably OOP cucumber questions

A more mundane source is the Joy of Cooking.  I modify their recipes for
pickles all the time.  I can't stand sweet pickles but I'm all for adding
ginger or garlic.

If I have "regular" cucumbers I just slice them and if there are a lot of
seeds I'll remove them.  You can also do spears.  You can pickle green
beans, carrots, cauliflower, etc.  Anything that's going gangbusters in your
garden.  If you can them you'll have them for later in the year when your
garden is covered with snow.

I'm not sure about pickling eggplant because it can be bitter but you can
make babaganouj and freeze/can it.
