The last time this happened to me, I emailed the owner of the website
(not this one).  He had posted something I'd translated, but without
attribution.  It turned out that it had been passed along to him by a
friend, without attribution.  He was apologetic, and promptly
(re)attached my name to the translation, which was all that I wanted.

Of course, I didn't have any spiffy jokes...
