[Sca-cooks] THE TWELVE DAYS of THANKSGIVING

We had Thanksgiving over at a friend's house so we don't have

any leftovers, other than extra cornbread dressing Elizabeth

made. So today I'm roasting a 13 pounder for the two of us.

We like turkey. I'm doing it sort of rotisserie style, roasting it

for 45 minutes resting on the breast, then 15 minutes with

each wing up and then 30 - 45 minutes with breast up.

 

Lunch today will probably hot turkey, cornbread dressing,

giblet gravy and Portuguese Kale and Potato soup.

 

I'm happy to report that the homemade cranberry sauce,

dark chocolate meringue pie and the unreserved cornbread

dressing were all consumed at the dinner. Yes, people ate

all the cranberry sauce.
