I want as late as possible because it means more printed books,  
manuscripts, letters,
diaries, and sources to explore.
What one would have read and owned in 1450 or 1500 is vastly different  
than what one might have
had at hand in 1599 or 1600 or 1610. (And if we go up a bit more we  
can have John Murrell...)
