That's quite possible. I keep a scale that does grams or ounces. It's 
not clear if OP has ounces and wants cups or vice versa.  I do prefer 
recipes that give ounces or grams- cups etc can be confusing, also a lot 
easier to weight ingredients.

says that 1 cup of shredded cheese is = 4 ounces.
