Made or purchased or obtained through barter, or traded or something.  Really until we know the theme it is one of those things we can't pin down. The serving ware for a 12th century Arabic feast would be so different from a 16th century Italian and so on.  But essentially yes, the cooks will ensure that a time/location dining set for 12 will be part of the deal.
